Beloved brethren, we often wrap ourselves in the cozy blanket of…. “I am busy.”
It is a convenient excuse.
A socially acceptable response to almost any request.
But what if “busy” is not the whole story?
What if, beneath the surface, we are simply being loyal to our excuses?
Think about it:
“I don’t have time,”
“It is not the right moment,”
“I will do it later” etc.
These phrases, while seemingly harmless, can become powerful barriers that prevent us from pursuing our dreams, nurturing our relationships, or even taking care of ourselves.
Excuses can easily be manufactured from the thin air.
But beware that excuses can become big traps against your own welfare or progress.
Sometimes, “I Am Busy” is just a Well-Dressed Excuse.
Instead of being loyal to our excuses, let us choose to be loyal to our potential, to our goals, and to the people we love.
Proverbs 6:6-8 NIV tells us:
“Go to the ant,
you sluggard;
consider its ways and be wise!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
A small creature like the ant creates no room for excuses.
Like the ant, let us choose to live with purpose and intention.
Always Think Twice before you respond, …..”I Am Busy”.
