Beloved brethren, today, I want us to reflect on the words of an old sage concerning growth. The wise man said:
“Growth is not always like climbing up a ladder, it’s normally like climbing a mountain: sometimes you go upwards, other times sideways, and other times downwards, to reach the apex.”
This reminds us that the growth journey is not a straight and smooth path.
It is a challenging ascent, that requires patience and perseverance.
Growth is a process and not an instantaneous event.
In James 1:2-4 KJV, we read,
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”
As we climb the mountain of growth, we must be prepared for the various terrains we will encounter.
- Sometimes, we may feel like we are making steady progress, ascending to our goal.
- Other times, we may move sideways, navigating through challenges that hinder our forward momentum.
- And still, there may be occasions when we feel like we are moving backwards, facing setbacks and obstacles that test our faith.
Let us not be discouraged. These unexpected turns and detours are all a part of the journey.
Patience and perseverance are required.
We cannot rush the process.
Growth is not a linear path. It’s a journey of ups and downs, twists and turns.
Each step, whether upward, sideways, or downward, is necessary for us to reach the apex of our personal development.
It is in the midst of our struggles that we truly find the way and the strength to soar to the apex God has ordained for us.
Journey on: Never give up.
Journey on my friend.
See You At The Top.
