A Treasure Beyond Measure.
Beloved brethren, surprise, surprise, surprise.
1. Who you know is more important than what you have.
2. Who knows you is more valuable than what you possess.
This is the wisdom we pick from Proverbs 22:1 KJV:
“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold”
In our pursuit of success, we often focus on accumulating wealth and material possessions.
We chase after things, believing that these things define our worth and secure our future.
Surprisingly, there is a treasure far more valuable than that.
That treasure is Social Capital:
• The network of relationships we have built.
• The goodwill we have cultivated,
• The reputation we have made for ourselves.
Social Capital is about WHO YOU KNOW and WHO KNOWS YOU.
Think about it:
• Doors open with relationships:
One kind word from a trusted friend can unlock opportunities that money cannot buy.
• In times of need, our network rallies around us, offering help and encouragement.
The kindness and goodwill we extend to others often return to us in unexpected favours.
Favour is a powerful currency.
Sow seeds of favour to reap favour. Sow daily to reap daily.
”In our pursuit of success, we often focus on accumulating wealth and material possessions.”
Let us shift our focus from merely accumulating “things” to cultivating “Meaningful Relationships”.
Let us strive to be rich in relationships and wealthy in goodwill from people.
Give a glass of water to a stranger, you will be surprised by the harvest in due season.
