Beloved brethren, today, I want us to explore the truth in the words of a wise man who once said;
“Apology is a super glue of relationships. It can repair any broken relationship.”
This statement teaches us the power and the wisdom in the willingness to make amends.
Those caring about their relationship with others don’t think twice about apologising whenever they error.
This principle is well articulated in the Scriptures. In Proverbs 28:13, which reads,
“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”
This verse reminds us that restoration begins with a humble confession: a humble apology when we have wronged another person.
It is not wise to cover up our mistakes or pretend they never happened.
True healing in any relationship can only come when we take the courage to admit our faults and seek forgiveness.
A sincere apology opens doors to healing and reconciliation.
In Matthew 5:23-24, Jesus says,
“Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”
Jesus is teaching us that our relationship with God is deeply connected with our relationship with others.
If we have wronged someone, we must first seek to make amends before we can approach God with our offerings.
A heartfelt apology paves the way for healing and reconciliation.
“Apology is the super glue that can mend any relationship”.
Humble yourself:
Swallow your pride:
Apologise to someone today.
It may be uncomfortable:
but it will bring much comfort to your relationship or friendship.
Those who care, don’t think twice about apology.
